Look, I’m not going to get into it too much. This is the last issue of The Massive.
Over the last two and a half years, Brian Wood has been telling an amazing, character-driven story about what it means to be an environmentalist in a post-apocalyptic, post=crash, near-future. Hell, in many regards, The Massive doesn’t have to be post-anything. It could be us. It could be now.
It has been, unquestionably, one of the best comic book series’ I’ve ever read: an exciting, mysterious and memorable story about people you actually care for. And it all comes to a close today, all threads picked up and woven back into a wonderful story.
I originally highlighted the series in June 13, 2012 weekly column of The Wednesday Run, which you can read for posterity here. Biff Bam Pop! Editor-In-Chief, Andy Burns got a chance to interview Brian Wood about The Massive earlier that year. You can catch that dialogue right here.
Yep. We’ve been fans from the beginning.
No worries if you’re new to the series and need to catch up. The Massive made our Holiday Gift Guide this year and you can find that article (and places to purchase the first three paperback volumes of the series) here.
Make the (quick) run to your local comic book shop today and pick up The Massive #30, the final issue of a great series!
